Gutted
It's been a while since our last update for the simple reason of we haven't spent much time at the airstream recently. To say progress has been slow would be an understatement! However, we do have the airstream fully gutted now and ready for the next stages. We got everything out of the airstream, did a few more dump runs, and took the interior skins off to get behind the walls. We removed about 20 bags worth of old insulation, some in decent shape, some damp from the leaks. After removing the skins and taking a look at the insulation, we feel good about our decision to fully gut the airstream. We also took out all of the wiring and will re-wire the whole thing to better suit our needs. While it will be more work, we don't want to take any risks with old wiring. We ended up vacuuming the walls and floor multiple times, and using a wire brush on a drill to remove all remaining insulation bits from the walls.
